Billy became assistant manager under Perry Briggs in June 2006 and when Perry Briggs stepped down in 2009 Billy became first team manager with goalkeeping coach Tony Harrison becoming his assistant. On the 5th July 2023 Billy became Co-Chairman of Dunston UTS FC along with Mr. Tony Cleugh.
